I have survived
I have been to Costa Rica and I have been liberated. It was and still is amazing. I have no pain, I have feeling in both my feet and hands. My balance has return and I can walk up right like a man. I have no brain fog…lol that’s bad stuff. Best of all I feel in control of my life. I have a lot of working out to do but no matter how hard it is I improve daily. You can check out my frist day in Costa Rica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGf1d8Sb8fY

Big day tomorrow
Hey everyone,
John’s surgery is tomorrow, and we’ll keep you as updated as we can. He has met with the docs, had he pre-op exam and started physio.
Keep him in your thoughts tomorrow.
A note from John
“Today is the best day of my life. Seven years of misery and only one day for each year of misery to go to liberation. It now seems in sight..Much, much thanks for everyones’ help.”

Amazing honor for an amazing friend
David Fitzpatrick has been an amazing family friend for many many years. He’s a talented musician, producer, and song writer. Its for those writing skills that he was just awarded the “Collective Works” placement from the Song of The Year songwriting contest.
Congratulations David!!!
Interested to hear what all the fuss is about? View his ReverbNation website, with blog links, here: http://www.reverbnation.com/artist_55262. Listen to his music and check out his merch while you are there. An amazing collection of music for sure.
You can go to http://www.thefitzbrothers.com/ for everything Fitz.
David is also the main organizer behind a huge benefit for John coming up November 6th. He has been instrumental (no pun intended) in securing some of the best acts in Newfoundland. You can have a look at the benefit poster in a previous post. Block out that date in your calender cause you not going to want to miss it!
Listen to David’s latest now: Liberation (Get Up)
Cheers.
Liberation (Get Up) – An Original Song
A beautiful and uplifting song. A wonderful tribute to an amazing father and friend. A gift for anyone touched by MS.
The song, “Liberation (Get Up)” was written, produced and performed by John’s good friend David Fitzpatrick, and is sung by John’s daughter, Katherine MacDonald.
Add a new song to your iPod playlist: Its just $1.99 to download and all proceeds go to The John Reid Liberation Fund. Listen and download here: http://www.reverbnation.com/store/store_for_song/5603225
You’ll find it at song number 29 on the player.
Enjoy!
Even MORE bands added to the Nov 6th Benefit Concert !!
Big Thanks to Andrew Pretty and the gang from Trinity Bay
There was an old fashioned Newfoundland variety show with skits and music held Saturday night in Dildo, NL in aid of John’s journey. They raised over $1500! Huge THANK YOU to Andrew Pretty for organizing. If anyone has any pics, we’d sure love to post them.
Cheers and many thanks.
